2010 Conference Information Now On Line

The 2010 NBBLO Conference in Las Vegas is shaping up to be the event to attend.
The primary conference objective is to provide significant and demonstrable value to each participant.
Attendees will be able to increase their value to their organization as well as assisting their organization to increase revenue collections.
A limited number of partial scholarships are available this year.

Mark Arnold winds up the 2009 Conference in Atlanta

On Friday, 7/17/2009, Mark Arnold presented his session entitled: Get Creative, Get Aggressive and Get Out of the box. He also acknowledged those who earned their Certified Licensing Official and Certificates of Recertification.
Mark's seminar was an enjoyable conclusion to our convention and a significant reason the NBBLO has been around for 25 years.
Our 2010 conference will be held in fabulous Las Vegas.

The Atlanta Marriot Marquis has graciously extended our room reservation block until June 30th, 2009. Consequently, we too are pleased to extend the early registration rates until midnight of the same date.

Red Flag Rules Delayed a Second Time

The Federal Trade Commission has delayed "Red Flags Rules" requirements until Aug. 1 to give affected businesses more time to develop and implement identity theft prevention programs. The Rules were scheduled to take effect today.

NBBLO membership management is in the process of:·
  • Submitting questions tendered to the NBBLO to all those with email addresses on file. In addition, the moderator may provide additional information and an informal opinion on the topic.
  • Subsequently replacing the email list with an internet forum for members to submit questions and post responses to submitted questions.
  • Emailing those with email addresses on file a link to the current newsletter: http://www.nbblo.org/newsletter/issues/2008/LicensingProfessional-Fall2008.pdf. Thanks for your patience as we weed out invalid or erroneous addresses!
  • Snail mailing a postcard to those who do not have an email on file with information on our newsletter and how to submit an email address.· Publishing back issues on the internet of ‘The Licensing Professional’ in acrobat PDF format for access by members.·
  • Ensuring that your NBBLO membership (including: conferences, newsletters, exchange of information, etc.) is potentially the most valuable and economical tool for meeting business licensing challenges in light of ever shrinking resources. This critical tool should be far from being viewed as a luxury. When seeking justification for membership renewal and attendance at meetings and conferences please keep in mind the benefits your organization receives with your full participation.
  • Accepting 2009 Membership Renewals due February 28th, 2009. To renew your membership please complete the form at: http://www.nbblo.org/membership/NBBLO-ApplicationS.pdf. Current & Past members on file will be emailed an invoice for their convenience.
  • Focusing our 2009 Conference in Atlanta on opportunities to increase revenue.
