Red Lion Hotel in Anaheim CA selected for 2012 Conference

Mark your calendars for the 28th Annual NBBLO Conference July 11th through July 13th 2012 in Anaheim, CA.

The theme of the conference is: "Keeping the money local".

While the typical rate at this time of year is generally higher, our rate is $119/night (plus hotel taxes) including internet service.

We look forward to see you there!

We are looking to Washington DC for our 2013 Conference.
Any ideas or suggestions you may have would be well received.

Harrah's Hotel Selected as New Orleans Host

Mark your calendars for the 27th Annual NBBLO Conference July 13th through July 15th 2011 in New Orleans, LA.
We visited and subsequently contracted with the 4 year old Harrah’s Hotel in New Orleans.

Harrah’s typical rate is $199/night. Our rate is $110/night (plus 13% tax & $2/night TOT) including internet service!

We are currently soliciting proposals for the 2012 NBBLO Conference in Monterey California.

2010 Conference Wrap Up

On Friday, 7/16/2010, Mark Arnold presented his session entitled: "The Zoning Power of Business Licensing". He also presented 5 new Certified Licensing Official awards to: Linda Roberts, Maria, Trujillo, Cherry Lawson, Rhonda Blackmon and Ingrid Balza. Certificates of Recertification were presented to: Andrew Thompson & Jeffrey Morris. Those not yet eligible for CLO received certificates of completion.
Mark's seminar provided valuable insight to attendees of just what power they have and how those powers may be utilized for good. These out of the box concepts are what make our conference unique and a significant reason some have attended 22 NBBLO conferences.
We were also pleased to award the "Gold Certification in Transparency" achieved by the City of Wellington FL.
Our 2011 conference will be held in New Orleans.
We sincerely hope to see you there!

2010 Conference Information Now On Line

The 2010 NBBLO Conference in Las Vegas is shaping up to be the event to attend.
The primary conference objective is to provide significant and demonstrable value to each participant.
Attendees will be able to increase their value to their organization as well as assisting their organization to increase revenue collections.
A limited number of partial scholarships are available this year.

Mark Arnold winds up the 2009 Conference in Atlanta

On Friday, 7/17/2009, Mark Arnold presented his session entitled: Get Creative, Get Aggressive and Get Out of the box. He also acknowledged those who earned their Certified Licensing Official and Certificates of Recertification.
Mark's seminar was an enjoyable conclusion to our convention and a significant reason the NBBLO has been around for 25 years.
Our 2010 conference will be held in fabulous Las Vegas.

Red Flag Rules Delayed a Second Time

The Federal Trade Commission has delayed "Red Flags Rules" requirements until Aug. 1 to give affected businesses more time to develop and implement identity theft prevention programs. The Rules were scheduled to take effect today.

Code Enforcement Officer Killed

On Thursday November 13th 2009, code enforcement officer Rodney Morales, 40, was shot while investigating a routine zoning complaint in Aurora, Colorado. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead about an hour later. Police are searching for the killer and have announced there is a $10,000 reward for information leading to the shooter’s arrest and conviction. Our thoughts go out to his family. PSI to power National Bureau of Business Licensing Officials
